Master Teacher I Welmer T. Serrano is a true example of how passion, innovation, and dedication can transform education. Through his project, "ReaL3: Reaching Out the Least, the Lost, and the Last," he has shown how educators can make a real difference by reaching out to at-risk students and giving them the support they need to succeed. His work, which earned him recognition as a regional Top 8 Finalist in the 2024 Regional Search for the Best Workplace Application Project, is a reminder that teachers have the power to change lives. Mr. Serrano's journey is one of continuous growth and learning. As a Division Resource Speaker for the MATATAG Curriculum, he not only enhances curriculum delivery but empowers fellow educators to be more effective in their own classrooms. His roles as a Regional Demonstration Teacher and Internal Validator, demonstrates his commitment to creating engaging and impactful learning environments that benefit both students and teachers.
Pursuing his Doctorate in Education Management at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Open University System, Mr. Serrano proves that professional growth is a lifelong journey. He regularly leads training on educational research, instructional materials, and fostering a growth mindset, showing teachers how they, too, can inspire change in their schools. His story reminds every educator that through dedication, creativity, and a love for learning, they can have a lasting impact on their students and the wider educational community.
